I did, probably because of my shit study score in English...
So now apparently I have to sit this test and depending on my results, I will "be required to undertake further academic English studies".
Has anyone done this before?
Gosh I feel dumb now.

haha I had a friend who scored well over 40 in english but also landed a 26 in lit and had to sit it. XD don't worry though, the dela is just to make sure you're literate, it's not a particularly grueling test. It's pretty much there so that students who have difficulty with literacy know that there are services available to help them should they need it. and even if you pass the test with flying colours, they still give you the option to take their additional classes.
but yeah don't feel dumb, not doing fantastically in vce english isn't going to drag you down at uni. :)

What if I do badly in it? It sort of seems this test is for non-native English speakers... Am I right?

Dw. I'm doing it with you ;)

you're correct, yes. you really won't have any issue with it.
not sure what happens if you do badly in it, i knew a few people who sat it and not a single had to take additional classes. i really wouldn't worry about it in the slightest.

Yes I got the email but I am not sure if I want to participate in it, considering I don't belong to any of the categories written here.

The email made it seem like it was compulsory..

Well after some reading I find it might be compulsory if it was requested directly from your faculty. I would suggest contacting the adviser if you have any question.
