Ok so maybe I'm a technology noob, but how can I listen to audio only lectures on the go?
I'm familiar with the concept of downloading lectures but getting them from my computer to my HTC One confuses me.. :P
I don't want to put the lectures with the rest of my music (I'm assuming that's where it'd go). Could I use a podcast app or something similar? :x
EDIT; I did it!
Ok I figured out how to do it.
I copied the lecture (audio) files directly into the file labelled "Podcasts" on my HTC One.
[OPTIONAL] However when I tried to play it using the Music app on my phone, I couldn't find the file. So I went to the menu of the Music app and added the Podcasts tab, I guess it hadn't been activated.
[ALSO OPTIONAL] Because I'm pedantic, my lecture audio files for some reason didn't show as their file names, but instead I guess as some file name that the lecturer had named it (something like UNIVERSITY_SUBJECT_SM_2014). So I downloaded this app to help me edit the names. Since my files were in the Podcasts app I used the "File Browser" from within the MP3dit app to change the titles. <EDIT> Realised you could just do this by right clicking Properties on the file before transferring. awks.
VIOLA. Perhaps it's a long winded and convoluted way of making it work. If anyone has a better suggestion, I'm happy to hear it. :)

Do you have a usb cable to connect your HTC one to the computer? An SD card adaptor also works. Once you have successfully linked your phone to a computer, just download the lecture normally and if you don't want it to be put in the same folder as your music then just make a new folder and store your lectures in there.

I'm not much help but I thought I'd chime in and say this helps soooo much. Unfortunately as I'm in VCE, I've basically only got access to YouTube videos for one of my subjects and that is literally all the study I do. I just listen to it on repeat and it is awesome!
There are some websites that can turn imbedded videos into mp3. format. If you do this you will unfortunately have to put it with your music, but you can just create an album or file that says 'Podcasts' or whatever, which will in turn separate it from your music.

Yeah, that's what I do! I copy it into "Downloads" so it's easier to find. But you could also make a new folder and look for it on your phone via File Commander.

What about accessing the LMS from your phone and downloading the lecture directly, without doing the whole transfer from PC thing? I find that so much simpler. You can then find the file in the Downloads folder and also in the Walkman app!
