Title: Quant Methods 1
Post by: massachusetts8 on March 23, 2014, 10:16:41 pm
Hello fellow QMers,
So Assignment 1 is due Thursday and it says we are allowed to handwrite and scan or type the assignment up but there is all this index number notation so I was wondering, would I lose any marks if my assignment is a combination of scanned handwritten material as well as typed answers?

Not to my knowledge; the majority of my economics and econometrics assignments were a conbination of computer printouts of necessary data; and hand written analysis (because i work better with pen and paper). Havent been penalised once.

One thing to be careful is the word count (if applicable); as youll need to ensure you dont go (too much) over the limit. Made that mistake once and lost 10% on the assignment (H1 --> H2A which was annoying).

thank god! trying to somehow find a way to put summation notation on word would have been a nightmare,
thank you very much :D
so i guess it will be okay to scan my work and then add it to my word document and then convert it into a pdf and then upload it -.-

If you really want to, word has a math pack addon. Lets you type in any equation in any format you want.
