Title: Text Response - Feedback appreciated

Hi everyone, this is my first attempt this year at a text response for the novel: In the Country of Men. I am aiming quite high for English, but I think this particular practice SAC reads more like a narrative than an exploration of ideas. Any tips on how I can improve upon this whilst still exploring a holistic sense of content? Otherwise, any assistance would be much appreciated, thanks.
