Title: 2014 SS/ATAR Predictions thread
Post by: soNasty on April 14, 2014, 08:22:04 pm
We've all done it... We've all opened the ATARNotes app, or used the calculator online to fill in our predicted study scores and look at an ATAR we'd be happy with. This thread is just that, except you'll come back to your comments here and compare that to your scores at the end of the year :)

Format:

<subject>     <predicted score>
<subject>     <predicted score>
<subject>     <predicted score>
<subject>     <predicted score>
<subject>     <predicted score>

Wishing you all a great year and hopefully you all exceed your expectations :)

Scores I think I will get:
English: 35
Psychology: 28
Legal Studies: 38
Economics: 38
Global Politics: 32
ATAR: 86.20

Scores I could get by studying *unlikely* and wish I could get:
English: 43
Psychology: 30
Legal: 45
Economics: 43
Global Politics: 40
ATAR: 97.05

Just realised how pointless that is as it won't get me into Monash Law. Wooo time to become a dropkick.

English: [44]
Chemistry: [42]
Physics: [40]
Methods: [43]

Hopefully I'm not being optimistic. Just think these are realistic scores, with my two scores from Biology & Further.

ATAR would be 99.05 based on atarcalc.

Along with my 44 for Food Tech last year...

Optimistic:                              Realistic:
HHD     45                              HHD 40
English  43                             English 38-40
Literature  36                         Literature 32
Biology     34                         Biology 30 (lawl)
Further Maths  40                   Further 37

ATAR: 94.65                           ATAR: 88-89.10

I'd still be happy with a 88-89 because I could still easily get into Occupational Therapy. Scoring in the 90s would just be an added bonus of Year 12.

I might be too optimistic:

English [39]
Physics [42]
Methods [41]
Spesh [39]

This will yield a 98.45 in atarcalc.

Only if methods get scaled up like crazy this year.
Consider he's not doing spesh or LOTE, 99.90 is my guess.

Nah I'm more realistic :) praying for 99.50-99.70ish. Pretty much anything that'll get me into my desired course.

Thanks for trying to make me feel better nerdmmb...but I think I should aim for a more achievable score than the 99.95. But then again, I would LOVE to get that score.  :P
