I'm pretty sure this is a stupid question but would just like to clarify that you are not supposed to just jump into unit 4 mid year without doing unit 3 during semester 1. thanks!

Pretty sure VCAA won't allow it. I remember reading in my subject selection handbook for school last year that "Unit 3 must be completed successfully before undertaking Unit 4". I imagine this is because there is assumed knowledge for each subject and also the issue with working out your rank if you enter a subject mid-year.

Yep sounds right, do you know if you can do unit 3 catchup and sacs (say during the upcoming holidays) to have satifactory completion and have a rank in order to do unit 4 and finish the vce subject or is it just a straight no for trying to jump into unit 4? :)

I'm not sure, it depends
What subject was it? Depends on that
-
no. it does not depend on anything. you have to do units 3 AND 4 as a sequence for every single subject. You must get an S for both units or else you do not get a study score, and the S includes minimum class hours, sac scores, etc.
VCAAS cut off date for unit 3 enrolment was months ago

No no no ahha, sorry if i seemed arrogant or anything.
Im not sure how it works, but he mentioned if he unit 3 over holidays and sat the sacs consecutively etc. When i said it depends was, with subjects like business management or further, you could do the U3 work without much difficulty, as apposed to say U3 of methods which may require more work. Hopefully you see where im coming from, could you goes un-demote me haha, i feel really bad :(

Indeed, It if far too late into the year for subject change as I believe the cut off date was April. Just stick with it, not long to go :)
