Title: WHAT SCORES DO I NEED FOR A 50

Hey, just wondering what scores I would roughly need to average in all my sacs and exams to get 40+ in the following subjects:

Business Management
Maths Methods
Biology
Global Politics 3 and 4
English

And... If I can be told what I need to score to get a 50 in all them , that would be appreciated.

Business Management:
Rank 1, close to/full marks on SACs and close to/full marks for exam
Maths Methods:
Rank 1 or near top of your cohort and smash the exams (more importantly exam 2)
Biology: don't know
Global Politics: no idea
English: Rank 1 or near top of cohort and 57+/60 for exam.

For a 50, you'll need to get scores that are higher than everyone else's scores. Doesn't matter what they are, could be 1%, as long as they're higher than everyone else.

what about if I want to get a 38-40 study score in maths methods ? what would my scores and averages have to be ??

You'll need to have scores such that you are better than 87-92% of all other students taking methods.

Read as: figuring out your study score isn't as easy as, "if I get this grade, I'll get this study score". In reality, you should aim to get 100% in everything, and do the best that you can.

Yes EulerFan101 is right. It doesnt matter if you get 100% or 45% on your sacs...yes 45% every sac. The most important part is your ranking, you need to be ranked the highest out of everyone doing that subject at your school, which gives you the best chance of 50.

I just wanted to ask, is the rank counted throughout the year? Or are GA1 GA2 and GA3 ranks considered different? And lastly, what if you are ranked 2nd-5th does that limit the chances of 40+?

Not at all, if you are in  strong cohort many people will get above 40. For example, my cohort in VCE biology expects the top 20-25% of kids to get above 40... that's about 20 people!

If there are two SAC GAs, then you get two rankings. For Further/Methods, just one ranking.
