Thank you.
-
I got an A, which Im pretty happy with.
-
jeasus christ, *pointing at your dp description* LOL i can't imagine why u sad, A is pretty good
-
bagged two A+'s mofo's happy with that
-
many people are applied for their statments of mark, since the A+ range is really wide this time.. gah. i totally forgot about it
theres still time, applications close in december.
-
I got an A+, which I was quietly confident that I got ever since the A+ cutoff was leaked. Out of ~55 people at my school, only two got an A+, which was kinda disappointing as a few of my friends weren't able to quite get there. Before I forget, thanks to Mao and everyone else for all the practice exams, really came in handy!
-
A+
about 30 people in our school got A+
-
Got an A+
5 out of 29 people in our school got an A+
Surprisingly the guy at my school who was ranked 1 at SACs only got an A
Also I just posted an application form to get a statement of marks. Now I have something else to wait for :)
-
How to get statement of marks?
-
I am freaking out.
I should not have looked at the grade distribution BEFORE getting my results.
I'm right on the borderline between A and B+
Right on the borderline.
One mark could make or break me.

WOW which skool do you go to!?!?!?!?
like 3 people got A+ at my skool, me included.
so surprised and happy!!

I don't quite understand what it will tell you when you receive the statement of marks?
Like, is it even worth my money?
-
If you got low, high [whatever your grade is]
-
Okay, so I'm going to assume it's not worth my money for the time being.
-

Your statement of marks will tell you where your marks have been taken off. If you feel suspicious about the marking (examiners are all humans. inevitably, they do make mistakes at times), you could apply for an inspection either at your own school or VCAA. If you spot any question that has been marked incorrectly, you could ask for a re-correction. Its around ten dollars for a statement of marks and around 20 for an inspection at school, i think..:)

I think my friend was telling me about this.
And then she said that, after you read through it with your teacher, they take it away from you and shred it.
This is at my school.
I am not paying ten dollars for something I get for five minutes and then cannot keep? I might have considered it, otherwise.
-
haha, bear in mind that no matter whether you inspect it or not, all exams will be destroyed by VCAA after a set amount of time after the exam. Some people may consider it meaningless since its the past matter. As long as you are happy with your grade there's really no point in wasting your time doing so. and yes, $$$
-
You can still request it once you figure out what your grade is right?
Because I still don't know.
My school: pretty much the only school in Victoria that has withheld results from students.
Excuse: 'we don't want people to have a nervous breakdown'. :/
-
I would have started a riot

My school didn't give out yet results either! And yes, I AM MAD.

Yes lol.
And so now they've decided to post them.
Why spend money on stamps for such a trivial exercise.
Like, you could just hand them to people at the end of the day like a school report.
It's not much different.
Now mine aren't going to be here for like two weeks because the school is almost as unreliable as Australia Post.
-
Oh, okay good. Thanks :)

Omg, so true. Would have saved money.. AND LET US HAVE RESULTS LIKE THE REST OF VIC.

Hey thanks for that :)
-
if I get a statement of marks, do VCAA re-mark (re-check mark allocations) the exam before sending me the statement of marks?
-
I'm rooting for the 'did not sit it.' (case preserved) option.

The chances of VCAA changing a mark is very very small let alone re mark an exam lol.
-
thanks very much guys. now we have the industrial world to keep us busy until november (the most boring stuff yet).

Just got my statement of marks back and got 93% on the exam. I'm so happy about that =)
According to it, there were two answers to MC question 12. Both B and C were allowed.
Whilst the MC question 19, the correct answer was for B. This was the ambiguous fractional distillation question
I dropped a couple of marks where I thought I didn't but besides that everything was as expected. Yet for the last question I read the reading off the graph wrong, yet I was still given 3/4 marks (2 people assess the exam). Besides that most of my marks were lost from question 2.
Good result though =)
