I'm not sure if I want to pick PE or Psych so I have a couple of questions..
What will I mainly be learning in VCE PE? The main areas?
What sort of pracs will I have to do? I've heard that you need to do a 6 week fitness program and some coaching thing that's really putting me off VCE PE..
How big is the workload compared to other subjects?

First of all, 3/4 PE is very different to units 1/2.
In 3/4, you will be studying these main areas:
Assessing physical activity & sedentary behaviour
Physical activity and the social-ecological model
Promoting physical activity
Acute responses to exercise
Foods, fuels and energy systems
Fatigue mechanisms and recovery strategies
Fitness components used in sports
Data collection & activity analysis
Assessment of fitness
Fitness training methods & principles
Chronic training adaptations
Performance enhancement – physiological, psychological dietary & other considerations
Legal & Illegal performance enhancement
Anti-doping codes & practices
It's actually not a subject where you can just rote learn things, you actually need to understand what/how/why things happen.
The 6 week training program is time consuming, although, not every school does this, and that is where you have an advantage over them in the exam ;)
Personally, I've found the subject one that you can learn things and apply it easily to a sport that you play in your life.
