Hi, if i have only dont Methods 1+2 and general maths specialist, would doing UMEP maths next year be recommended? (can someone confirm that this is allowed)
I am pretty good at maths and average 90%+
also: how much overlap is there with the methods +specialist vce course?? and is the workload going to be minimal if you are doing those two?
thanks

Well, Melbourne High doesn't let you do anything beyond that and they have had plenty of UMEP Maths students in the past, so I'd say go for it.
As for the overlap, I don't think it's particularly relevant, although it's 1st year Uni maths...

awesome thanks.
I'll apply soon.

Pretty much the entire methods course is covered in the specialist course [except for probability].
UMEP does not require a year 12 math, however it can be helpful. You just need to be willing to put in the work :)

I think you need to be studying Spesh 3/4 in the same year as doing UMEP or have completed it already which is unlikely. I wasn't permitted as I wasn't doing Spesh in year 12. Gahhh =(
