Seriously hoping for a written text for Section A and an informal spoken text for Section B...
As for essay questions... There will always be one on identity...right...? :)
Your predictions?
-
I think section B will be formal this year as they haven't done that before, either a speech of formal document?
Any thoughts on essay topics, please have identity
-
I'm hoping for a spoken informal text as well for section B, but knowing my luck it'll be the complete opposite D: 2012 had spoken informal, and 2013 had a consultative/slightly informal register so this year will probably be something formal.
-
Do you guys think it's fairly likely there'll be an identity related prompt?
-
I have a feeling Section A will be an informal written text and Section B will a formal spoken text.
-
I'm predicting that Section A will be informal spoken, such as a radio broadcast. Section B formal written, maybe formal and informal hybrid, such as a memoir or blog post? I will be very surprised if Section B isn't a more formal text.
As for Section C, I have no idea but I am praying for something about Standard English, appropriate language, language change or identity in general. Good luck everyone!

VCAA's past exam topics from 2004-2014 for section A and B
Past 10 Years section B has been Informal...but you still never know
-
feeling like there will be a comparison of two transcripts in section B
-
You have to realise though that this is only the 3rd year we've been required to write analytical commentaries. So the past two years have been informal spoken then written. So I believe (and pray) a formal written text is there.

I think Part A will be not one, but two texts.
6 questions seems like a lot for one text.
