Title: Would You Film Your ATAR Reaction?
Post by: sparked on December 14, 2014, 10:04:42 am
Throughout the year, I've been motivated by the prospect of having to sit in front of my computer, film myself and share the video of my ATAR results with friends/family/ATARnotes (the motivator being not wanting to completely embarrass myself) and so I'm going to do it.
Do you think this is a bad idea? Good idea? Ambivalent?
Sundays are kinda slow on ATARnotes so potentially no replies before it's too late. I don't know! I found them encouraging to watch on YouTube and hopefully will preserve a somewhat happy memory? Omg imagine if it was a disaster and I was like... stop filming.

Yeah go for it! I watched a couple earlier in the year, and they were always interesting. Might be useful for posterity's sake anyway.

Haha yep, that's what I though.
If it's a total disaster, could always keep it to myself haha

I am now wishing I recorded my ATAR reaction, because my reaction was classic. When I saw it, I went from crying to slapping the table to laughing. I was happy, even though it's not a crazily high one, but it's one dream I thought I had lost ages ago.

HAHAHAHA omg that vine was so funny!
And yeah, I felt like it was something I could record and then just choose not to share. But not recording it meant it would just never be there... hahaha
Anyway, as you can see - I DID film it! And I'm glad I did :-D
Makes ATAR day a little less depressing... hahaha

I loved your reaction. Your mum's reaction was priceless :) I wanted to film mine, but I chickened out because I thought it would end in a disaster!! Well done

Your mum's reaction :')
She's very enthusiastic and fun about the whole thing! I wouldn't have a clue how my mum would react..Just kinda "normal" about the whole thing I'd imagine.
Good work and best of luck for the future.

No, largely because I would look like a total train-wreck that early on a morning with no school ;)

Mum was so excited! I think it's because she's done so much for me and was happy that my hard work had paid off.
Your well wishes are the best! I am somewhat overwhelmed by the reception of this video (overwhelmingly positive and more views than I would have ever imagined!)
Best of luck to everyone tackling VCE and/or University and/or life in general in 2015!!!
