Title: Holiday catch-up if I've skipped Eng Lang 1/2?

Hey guys,

As someone who's picked up English Language 3/4 without the 1/2 for next year, I was wondering what were the most important aspects of the 1/2 course to revise over the holidays? From what I can tell, most people, including my teacher, have said it's mainly the language subsystems that I need to go over. If, in your experiences, however, there were any other important sections to go over during the summer break, please let me know! Thanks :)

Hey there!

Yes, your teacher is right in that regard - I would go through all of the metalanguage needed for Units 1/2. You can find a complete metalanguage list for Units 1/2 here: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vce/englishlanguage/englang-sd-2012.pdf

Be sure to go to page 11 onwards. Here I would recommend you go through each of the terms and define each of them in a Word document (so essentially you're developing a vocab list).
