For our next SAC we are allowed to take in an A4 single sided plan, that we get to do the night before. Now of course since we get to do it before hand, I would like to put more on it than what I usually do when we don't get to bring one in (e.g exams). So what do you think I should put on it? And how much should I put on it?

Put as much info as you need. But don't fill the page full of useless stuff that you know off the top of your head. That would be a waste of valuable space.
You should try to include the following on your plan:
* Quotes (but also have linking sentences to justify the inclusion of your quotes). No one wants to read quote after quote with no added explanation.
* Solid "safe" sentences to use in your intro/conclusion. Typically during a SAC these are the toughest to write.
* A general idea/brainstorm of how you will structure your essay ( i.e. an outline of some potential body paragraphs).

Ah ok, thanks! How detailed should the outline of body paragraphs be?

What is the text you're doing? If you're doing a film (e.g. Mabo) it could be helpful to have a bunch of vocab for filmic devices and examples from the film itself. Otherwise, MJRomero mentioned basically everything I'd put. If it helps, you could do a little mindmap with the main themes and brief explanations just so you can get a refresher in the SAC so you don't miss anything. When I could take an A4 sheet in to my Literature test on A Streetcar Named Desire last year, I did this along with quotes from each scene in chronological order, then motifs/symbols on a separate part of the page.
