Hi everyone :)
Recently i had a context SAC for english and it was the one on which you do at home and hand in,
i got 83%. i feel worried because i want at least a 41 for my study score and my teacher said that if i continue the way
i am going i will only get a 35 as my study score, even if i get an A+ in the exam. Is that true?

It really depends on the year, and how you do compared to everyone else - the exam is all down to your ranking. That being said, I was getting 80-85% in lit last year, and even got a score of 70% on one sac. I still managed to get a study score of 40 - in the end, the exam matters a lot more than sacs (that's not to say that sacs don't matter, but getting a few scores you might be disappointed with isn't the end of the world).

Firstly, 'if I continue that way' - there's no need to continue that way. Obviously you can't change the past, so don't stress about it; but until 12.15pm [whatever the exam date is], you can change the future.
Secondly, I had a mid-80s average for Eng SACs and still got a 43 - not that the specific score matters as it varies so much between cohorts! Remember that it's to do with ranking, and if you are lower-ranked you will definitely have more struggles to get a higher mark.
But look, this is early in the year - you have a lot of time to 'redeem' (I say this because 83 doesn't seem too bad to me) your SAC marks, if you are willing to search out where your issues are, how exactly you are going to improve, and work hard. Learn from the mistakes in your earlier SACs.
Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, everyone can go forward and make a brand-new ending.
Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.
(we will also note that my Eng teacher said that the score I got on my Sept trial exam would lead to a 33-ish score if I replicated it in the exam)
So good luck, work hard, and DON'T GIVE UP :D!

You know what the worst thing you can do is?
To think to get X score, you need Y score in ONE particular score and continue to dwell on it that one particular score.
I am so sorry you have a teacher who would try to reinforce that view on you. A teacher who says "you are on your way to a 35" is really taking inspiration from their students but also they are pretending they are an expert on how study scores/SAC moderation etc. work, which even the Chief Examiner probably doesn't really know.
Keep working hard and you will get you what want. A bit of general advice: try to give as many practice essays to as many independent sources (not just your teacher) and try to cover all bases - different people have different preferences and once you get more people to mark your essays, your flaws will slowly be revealed and changed!

Thanks guys :)

This sort of stuff from teachers is really pissing me off. To be frank, that's b*******. Don't listen to your teacher, and just try your best to improve throughout the year by also utilizing the help you can get here on AN.
Good luck! :D
