In terms of beneficialness, I don't know if those info sessions are useful at all.
As my Texts and traditions teacher back in Year 11 teacher said, "Don't go to those university open days. Its just a marketing scheme". :P

LOL, spot on, although the Melb Uni ads on TV do make it seem excting hahaha. I have been to Open days since year 10, all up, like 3-4 different uni's. I find that it isn't useful at all because if i go to ask a question, i can also send an e-mail for a much more personailised response, i don't need to go and get the course book/guide, because my school has dozens for EVERY TAFE and Uni, the info sessions for YOU specific course, only go on for about 30 minutes, with npothing i didn't know already. And who need free showbags with pens, food, rulers......on second thoguhts.....
Mod edit: fixed your quoting for you :P
-
There's a lot of free crap on open days, so you could go just for that.
-
I'll be wearing a grey jacket and blue jeans. Nudge me if you see me.
-
LOL showcases .. now i am completely guiltless for not going haha
-
yeah
-
No, because I am loyal to the superior (or at least 10x closer to my house) Monash University =]
-
I'll be hanging around the Commerce and Science faculties. Although it will be a pain travelling from Berkeley street to the "main campus".
-
Have to go because of that MUMS competition.

I'm in some maths olympics comp. Anyone else doing it?
-
It's a maths competition. You compete in teams from your school - it's designed to be fun and lighthearted (although apparently some schools beg to differ...)
-
Hehe I'll be there tomorrow helping out for the Science faculty. If you say hi I'll give you a balloon :P
-

Money is the root of all evil, and the Melbourne Model was designed to rake in more money for UoM.

'scuse me monokekie, but you tell me how many times your boyfriend has kept you waiting whilst they're "putting on their face" to go out :P
-
'scuse me, but the generic name "paracetamol" is more suitable unless you support the promotion of certain drug brands.
Also, if you're going to open day, TRAMS ARE GONNA BE A SARDINE CAN. Now you can experience what a uni student experiences everyday during peak.

NO PENS :( :(
-
Stop picking on me Prav, I've actually done work this week... my business stats report (was due Thurs) ended up 16 pages long!
My graphs were prettiful and I've decided that I like Excel 2007, but that I still don't particularly like stats.
Lesson learned: NEVER GO TO THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
