Title: Doing Revolutions without 1/2
Post by: remyn on July 10, 2015, 10:36:22 pm
Is it possible? How should I prepare?

It is definitely possible!

I completed Revolutions without doing any 1/2 history and did just fine. There aren't any prerequisites and there is nothing that you will be expected to know beforehand. What I would recommend, is that you see if you can get the textbooks earlier so that during the summer holidays you get a chance to read through at least the first few chapters. Revs is VERY content heavy so a little head start wouldn't hurt, but you won't be behind everyone else and there are usually a few people who pick this subject up.

This is probably one of the most enriching VCE subjects out there and it's certainly worth doing. Hell, I'd go back and do it all again if I could!!!  :D

revs was literally the best vce subject so you should definitely do it and not doing 1/2 history is not an excuse

i did unit 1 history but slept through the whole thing, then dropped it in unit 2 but picked up revs 3/4 and did pretty well so its very do able without 1/2

just read through the textbooks in the summer nice and casually to get a feel for your revolution and so you know roughly what happened

I would also like to say that History Revolutions was easily the best and most favorite for me in VCE and it's probably the reason why I am majoring in History at University now.
