Title: How hard is it to get a 40+ in english

What kind of marks do i need to obtain in year 12 in order to get 40 or higher, what sort of marks will i need to average?

Bare minimum- this might give you 39-40.. You need 3 A+
According to last year Unit 3= 84%

Exam=  47/60

If you do attend Balwyn, then i'd be assuming you should average 85-90%+ (27+/30 / 46+/50) at the very least and aim to be in the top 10 of your cohort. It's a very competitive school in general which is daunting, but good as well. If you're doing well on your SACs and smash your exam (Above 48/60), and your cohort does exceptionally well, 40 is very achievable.
