Title: Camp in year 12?!?
Post by: Jay.C on November 05, 2015, 08:36:50 pm
Hey guys just looking to get some opinions here! My school is running a 5 day camp at Herron island in Queensland next year in term 2. I'll be in year 12 next year and I'm looking to get a pretty good score 90+. Just wondering if it's a good idea to go on this camp, could I Handel the year 12 work load with a week of school. Is it wise to do this or would it put me to s disadvantage??? Please help!  :)

I wish my school had a camp in Year 12 :( lol

You should definitely go. Won't all your friends be going anyway? You'd miss out on all the fun and it's a great break from study :)

It's not a compulsory camp, so only some of my friends are going but thanks for the opinion!!

If you like camps and have any desire to go, then go.  More important than your marks - in fact the rest and social time will probably boost them!

Seriously, don't think that you must 'sacrifice' all fun, social time and relationships to do well in VCE.  That means that you essentially waste one year of your life.

Definitely go, noone ever looks back on their life and goes "shit why did I go on that camp and have fun with all my mates, should have stayed home and studied"

If a good amount of your mates are going, then you should! It's really important to be spend time with your friends, before you know it, it's all over and everyone's headed in different directions. My school had a compulsory camp at the start of the year and i'm so glad i had the opportunity to chill out with the people i went through Year 12 with. Make the most of it. Have fun!
