when ur down, its been a long day at skool and u officially cbf studying, how do YOU get motivated???
-
I give myself time to unwind and relax, and set a time for when i'm going to begin homework/study. That usually works for me.
If its a really strenuous day then I have an extra long relaxation time.
-
just get into it
-
I get on VN and all my motivation comes.
-
I try and remind myself that exams are in 8 weeks. That usually works. Or it used to, until recently...
-
Play a few hours of games (and nothing else). After the session, I get some motivation. (I don't surf the net if I plan to do work because it's endless).
-
Just imagine the pain you will feel if all of your best friends get higher enter scores than you. Usually works for me.

Definitely. :) Know it all too well not too long ago.
-
make a bet with your friend that you'll get a higher enter
-
Whenever I lose motivation (which occurs much too frequently for my liking), I look at a sign on my cork board that reads:
" Ideal ENTER: _ _._ _
Ideal COURSE: ________
Every day I lose, another student gains. "
Slightly extreme, but definitely motivational in those dark, dark times :)
-
If it's been a terrible day, just do a few small tasks. Find quotes for English. Work on a summary/cheat sheet. Do a few textbook questions.
Just make sure that you have enough time to relax. After all, your health is far more important than one night of study.
-
I think about my parents owning me D:
...just kidding. I just read the textbook or something and convince myself that by reading the textbook passively without doing qns or notes is still a form of study. Then try and move on from there.
-
I just think "oh, i better get this done or else i'll be behind everyone else
or, "i'll just do a few qns now, and be ahead of everyone in that class"
Just imagine the pain you will feel if all of your best friends get higher enter scores than you. Usually works for me.
HAHA, I LIKE THIS.

Why yes, yes it is.
-
^That is so beautiful.
I'm trying to keep up my motivation knowing that i finish my single year 12 subject soon....and then have to repeat the process with so many more next year T___T
-
Struggling for the motivation at the moment, which isn't good because I've got a million SACs before the end of term. Hopefully a decent rest on the holidays will give me a good freshen up for the last 4 weeks of study.

Haha same :P
Biology doesn't interest me right now, but the thought of not getting 40+ gets me motivated to start.
Thanks to this thread, I'm going hard at Biology as of tonight :).
Good to see that this thread got you motivated :)

+1. Maybe rest for a couple of days, then get back into it. The end-of-year exams would be almost a month away by then :-\

Don't lie andrew, you've been studying for weeks now haha
Nah but yeah I agree, couldn't stand getting less than 40...keeps me going
-
pretty much, if you feel so motivated that everytime you try and study you just get distracted its not worth it. give yourself the night off.
but i find that if i allow about half an hour from when i get home to when i start its enough time to unwind and start thinking straight again. and do the things you hate most first to get it out of the way.
