Hi everyone!
So I'm taking the trial GAT tomorrow and I have no idea what I am meant to do in Writing Task 1? It says 'do not present an argument' but simply write the information that they give you down - but what does that mean? What is the structure I'm meant to use? Is it a report? Do I copy exactly the information given or do I have to reword it all into my own words?? I'm so confused on what this writing task is about!!
Any and all help is appreciated!!! Thanks heaps!!! :D
(Mods sorry if I posted in the wrong category, please move if so)

i think last year's writing piece was about images + statistics on a future cityscape, so what i did was write a short imaginative piece and incorporate the elements of the material into it (if that makes sense) :) best of luck!

Ah I see! So it doesn't have to be an essay/report?
Also would I need to reword the information given or could I just copy down exactly what they've written?
Thanks!! :D

You can pretty much do anything to be honest, as long as you write up a cohesive piece with good links to what's presented you should be fine.

You get lots of marks if you actually have an intro, paragraphs and conclusion. I remember i got 33/40 for the english section of the gat and this scored me i think a standarised score of 44? Or 45? I cant quite remenber. Alot of people just write with no cohesion.
