Title: Arabic at Deakin
Post by: calculatedrisk on June 02, 2016, 11:05:05 pm
Anyone studying Arabic? I know some Arabic and was thinking I could use this to my advantage and become fluent by studying it in uni to broaden my job opportunities. Just wondering if anyone has done the same thing or if you have an opinion on the usefulness of an Arabic major in the workforce. I was thinking of coupling it with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Hi, you could complete the Diploma of Languages alongside their Bachelor of Commerce degree. Another option would be to complete the combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Commerce. We recommend you contact the Faculty of Business and Law on 03 9244 6555 or email [email protected] for advice on how to best include Arabic studies into their Commerce degree.

They would also be welcome to contact the Faculty of Arts and Education on 03 9246 8100 or email [email protected].

Hope this helps! ^SB
