I'm personally not a huge fan of memorising, and you can read why, but Elyse is the master at it, her tips are awesome ;D

I believe the best way is to re write essay after reading it thou roughly
Or after reading it and taking in key points without looking write key points and see if u can elsbaorate
Furthermore voice recording and listening to ur self on transport or during ads on tv to memorise word for word

Hey! I continue to re-write my prepared paragraphs.
What I do is, I split the paragraph into steps and highlight the first words of the sentence in different colours. It makes it easier to remember the sequence the sentences come in, because sometimes we blank out in an exam after we can't remember a specific word.
I also try to understand it, explain it in my own words to myself in case I do forget the prepared sentence, I'll have a basic understanding of what I was trying to say.
