The actual values on the raw marks database are provided by people who have bought their exam marks from BOSTES. They can be verified through asking the posters and are 100% reliable and accurate.

Whether or not they show trends is another story, because the algorithm every year changes.

What is the difference between weighted raw mark and unweighted raw mark?

What is the difference between weighted raw mark and unweighted raw mark?

The weighted raw mark just aligns the raw exam mark to an integer percentage (EG - aligning 53.33 to 53%) :) this can have some tricky stuff involved in Papers where optional scaling could take place, or when some questions weightings are more than others (EG - English Standard and Advanced) ;D usually though, the realistic difference is minimal ;D

Some harder options also get one extra mark for science I've found. No more than 1 - hence minimal

I added up my marks for chemistry. I got 87 but was reported an 88

Good point, Optional Question Scaling also happens at this point! Same thing happens for different essay questions in Paper 2, but as Rui says, not a huge effect in most circumstances! ;D
