Could somone please help me identify lanugage techniques used in each of the the following quotations?
The Tempest by Willam Shakespeare - disovery of forgiveness
1. “It was mine art…That...let thee out.”
2. “If thou more murmur’st...peg thee...till / Thou hast howled away twelve winters”
3. “The rarer action is / In virtue, than in vengeance.”
Piano by D.H. Lawrence - rediscovery of childhood through power of music
1. “Taking me back...vista of years...A child sitting under the piano...”
2. “...the insidious mastery of song…”
3. “...I weep like a child for the past.”

The Tempest by Willam Shakespeare - disovery of forgiveness
1. “It was mine art…That...let thee out.” Hmm, got nothing here. The ellipses create truncation I suppose?
2. “If thou more murmur’st...peg thee...till / Thou hast howled away twelve winters” Hyperbole, alliteration, figurative language
3. “The rarer action is / In virtue, than in vengeance.” Alliteration of the 'v', juxtaposition of virtue and vengeance
Piano by D.H. Lawrence - rediscovery of childhood through power of music
1. “Taking me back...vista of years...A child sitting under the piano...” Symbolism, connotes innocence
2. “...the insidious mastery of song…” Loaded word choice of 'insidious'
3. “...I weep like a child for the past.” Simile

If you are struggling to find techniques in certain quotes, you could see if they represent techniques from the text as a whole.
For example, in the tempest, you could look at how Shakespeare uses language. (Which characters speak in Prose and which speak in verse. What does this represent.)
Or what does the structure of the play symbolise. Or how it starts in media red etc.

You should also look into the structure and rhythm of the sentences.
For example, Shakespeare tends to write in Iamb's, through that you could say something like The Iambic Tetrameter of X shows X and so forth. If you don't know about Iamb's they're a pivotal part of Shakespeare's work :)
Could talk about the symbolism of the piano/figure of child or the song.
Just some quick ideas that come to me :)
