Personally, mine is jacaranda physics as its layout and diagrams make concepts easier to understand.

Hey! Welcome to the forums!! ;D
I used Physics in Focus primarily, so I'd have to say that is my favourite! I've heard good things about Jacaranda though :P

I liked the heinemann physics' notes and the jacaranda's questions!
Heinemann just had the most info there, they went a bit overboard but I liked that, coz it gave me a more hollistic understanding beyond the dot point of the study design.
Jacaranda's questions were just of better quality.

Haha thanks,
Yea, Physics in Focus isn't that bad either

I'm going to step outside of the box here because my favourite physics textbook when I was in high school wasn't any of the prescribed textbook for Australian high schools, like Heinemann and Jacaranda :P
My favourite physics textbook in high school is College Physics by Raymond A. Serway and Chris Vuille.
This book is meant as an introduction to fundamental physics for first year university students that aren't interested in going too deep with it; such as biomedical students. The maths used in this book is all algebraic so no calculus involved, so the math aren't too complicated and can be read by high school students.
What I really like about this book is the crystal clear explanation that is easy to understand. Not to mention highly comprehensive, covering almost everything in the typical high school physics syllabus and much more, so you can cherry pick the bits you're doing in school.
A highly enjoyable read, and if you want your physics level to fly through the roof while you're in high school, I'd highly recommend getting one and check it out 8)

Wait is that the book you used for HSC?
I'm going to year 11, and was wondering if there is a prelimin book

That being said. HSC physics is not physics. It is the impact on society of x and y.
For people who are actually interested in PHYSICS, yeah definitely.

Yep! There are Prelim books for Physics in Focus, and Jacaranda too maybe? But definitely Physics in Focus has a Preliminary textbook ;D

Can confirm both have prelim textbooks

When I'm moving ahead I like to read Jacaranda for a fuller, topic-by-topic understanding, but I usually resort to PIF when I'm writing my dotpoint notes ;D
Also, for pracs I prefer the Jacaranda layout.

Jacaranda as I have a hard copy provided from school..but I sometimes do use Physics In focus as it has its info by dot points but its information is sometimes not that great..same goes with jacaranda. All in all holistically I would prefer Jacaranda.
