When I went to the vtac website: http://www.vtac.edu.au/demos.html
and went to the scholarship section, why does it ask if I speak a LOTE at home or if I have been active in community service?
Im assuming that they are likely to greatly discriminate upon candidates?
Would it be better off selecting no LOTE, but some uni's may be short on students that speak a particular language.
and yes to community service last time was in year 9 and 10 bit of year 11.

Just be honest? If you speak a LOTE at home, they wouldn't discriminate against you. If anything, it would work in your favour (overcoming difficult circumstances).

My sister is getting a bit annoyed with the scholarship processs on VTAC because its asking about all this leadership, community service stuff that she has to type in.
When I did my VTAC application back in 2007, I never had to do that kind of stuff.

And it also, not surprising though, asks how the scholarship will benefit you.
