Title: Active and Passive Transport on the Nephron
Post by: Nialllovespie on February 16, 2017, 02:45:32 pm
Hey,

Do we need to know where active and passive transport takes place in each park of the kidney?

E.g Decending Loop of Henle, passive transport occurs when water moves out of tubule

Thanks so much!!

Hey there!!
I'm not exactly an admin but I know my teacher gave us a practice question about it. He wrote it himself as he thought that it might be in the HSC this year because it hasn't been tested in a while.
I hope this helps!!  ;D

Yes you DEFINITELY do as it's one of the dot points (9.3.3.5) - "distinguish between active and passive transport and relate these to processes occurring in the mammalian kidne y" Next time just check the syllabus! :)
