After a term of tests, assignments and those horrific SACs squeezed into the last couple of weeks,
we can finally kick back, relax and forget about school... :coolsmiley:
... or can we?? :o

Couldn't have put it any better.

Good luck guys. Make these last holidays count!
You're almost finished...
-
With these holidays have tiny break (I.e. Having the weekend off is a smart idea). You guys are about to ENTER(pun intended) the most hectic part of year 12. During this weekend try and forget ENTER and study scores. With studying try and be as creative as you can with your study methods. Attend any seminars set by your teachers and after these holidays you should be tackling as many exams as possible.
With studying instead of setting a time limit, make reasonable promises fo yourself. E.g. Physics: Today my goal is to work out what my weaknesses are in magnetism? what does a commutator do? if I were asked about magnetic flux could I give a reasonable answer?
Spreading your time out is a great idea! If you have studied for over 1 hour you'll find you can't recall what you studied.
So these holidays make sure you get a fair amount of study done and also have a break because you will NOT stop until you walk out of that final exam.
I have a busy holidays. 3 assignments and study for my own exams 4 weeks after these holidays.
-
I have already been on holidays for a week, and still have two weeks left :)
Partying and studying are my plans!
-
Just gonna follow the recommendation... 6 hours a day I think.
I take this back :(, just planned out my alternating days and it's like 9 hours on the 1st and 10 on the 2nd =_="

Don't you guys have a week 14? My week 14 is practically an extra week of SWOTVAC since I've only got 1 revision lecture that week...but then yes, 3 days of SWOTVAC the week after that and then straight into my exam on the Thursday, followed by a clinical exam 5 days later. Hurrah.

Ha ha... no such luck... AND there are Jap 2 oral assessments (worth 15% I think) being held during SWOTVAC, which I'm pretty sure is against university policy.

WTF people, term 3 holidays is just a myth.
-
When I was in year 12, I remember playing Zelda on the Wii all day long during those holidays. Good times.
-
Studying... and trying to get better so I'm not sick all 'study break'.
-
How about combining a friend's 18th birthday into a huge revision lecture therefore boosting the entire cohort's performance :O
Nahhhhh, one 18th to go to and the rest is study/revision either at home, at school, at the library or at a lecture.
-
wouldve been studying but 2 friends have parents away for the whole two weeks so study break has gone 2 shit

I chose:
Contemplating jumping off the bolte bridge
-
These holidays I have planned:
Study study study. As expected
Couple of 18ths
Writing an article for my schools yearbook
Lectures (VATE, Derrick Ha, possibly NEAP/Swinburne)
Exercising a bit... helps relieve the stress and I'm really unfit =S
Eating, drinking (coffee), sleeping the bare minimum to keep bodily functions operating.
Going to every library in the state and borrowing out the English Language encyclopaedia before anyone else can get it.
(whoops said too much)

Eat, Sleep, Gaming, Gym. And a bit of study/revision/practice exams
Probably the best approach.
