You know what I'm talking about: the things that society seems to care a lot about, but you just - well, don't care about it. ;D
For me, a big one is movies. I've never enjoyed them, I avoid them if at all possible, and I don't understand why they're such a thing.
And clubs. I've never been to one, so this is possibly entirely ignorant (lol), but the sheer thought of multiple people in a small, loud space makes me hugely uncomfortable.

m8 (early) Big Brother was the greatest show of all time.
Of all time.

Joseph, how come you like TV shows and not movies? ??? Do not understand. I love quality movies (am very picky heh).
I don't get celebrity goss. Like I admit to having a few celebrities I fangirl about (coughemmawatsoncough) but who gives a fuck about pages and pages on who's hooking up with who and what heels so and so wore and what food such and such ate for breakfast yesterday? I care much more about the hookups and heels and breakfast foods (and ideally D&M thoughts lol) of my close friends.
Oh and also And clubs. I've never been to one, so this is possibly entirely ignorant (lol), but the sheer thought of multiple people in a small, loud space makes me hugely uncomfortable.
+1. Just imagining the sensory overload sends my heartrate skyrocketing haha; I'd end up in a puddle of tears on the bathroom floor if I went clubbing. :P

Unless it's like, an ATAR Notes club.
What's an ATAR Notes club?
Just a classroom. With people studying.
With that, I could potentially deal.
;D

Alcohol. Like, I get a single drink to loosen up. I get needing to escape from feeling absolutely horrible (even though I'm pretty convinced it doesn't work in the long run, but that's another story).
But getting drunk to have fun? I don't understand how it's fun to lose control, behave like an idiot, do things you may regret later, vomit, buy expensive drinks when you're broke, and have hangovers. Not one of those sounds fun to me. I have fun by curling up in a cosy bed with a good book and beautiful music, and I swear I have more fun doing that that anyone could have getting smashed :P
I also enjoy socialising, but like... D&M conversation or witty humour. Or nerding out about ATARNotes.
Yeah I'm an eighty year old lady at heart. ::)

The idea is that you're drunk/buzzing enough that you don't care about being packed in like sardines or losing your hearing :P
You're really not missing out on much, I've found the best part is the friends you make when you're standing in the queue for the bathroom, so that probably says a lot about the whole experience.
Funnily enough, there are so many things that annoy me or I just don't care about, yet when it comes to writing about them I can't think of a single thing...
A big one at the moment would be some of the TV series that are popular right now, like 13 Reasons Why. They just don't do it for me - not engaging, exciting or particularly remarkable in any way

ugh yes I forgot about this one
my stubbornness means I refuse to watch 13 reasons why lol
I don't watch hyped up shows or 'binge watch' anything I just watch what I want when I feel like it

So savage lol.

I could not care less about music.
I just never listen to it. Ironically both my parents are musicians.

Yes, unfortunately my proclivity to snapchat streaks certify the fact that I am just as vapid and shallow as those who indulge in reality TV and celebrity gossip.

I can relate. I lost (purposely broke) my 429 streak before school started.
-
Snapchat streaks. (I do have one with my bf's little sister and all she sends is the word streaks. I just send back pictures of food because what else would I send? 😂)
Chain fb posts. (You know the ones that you get tagged in and it is *imperative* you then tag another million people etc)
Reality TV.
Wearing runners with jeans. (If it's comfortable, I'll wear it, no questions asked

dont care in the slightest for alcohol/drugs/substances etc. like at all
dont care about what fashion choices or style choice i make 95%; i wear gym tracksuits to uni almost everyday ahha
dont care about negative things people may say about me or think; i used to care but recently have been so busy with life i just can't find time for petty things like that :p
cant think of anythhing else on my mind
-
I agree with quite a few things people have written above but yeah here goes mine:
- Celebrities/Pop Culture: I know it's really weird. Like I don't even know who sings what song or who plays what in which movie. I don't care who dates who or who's hooking up with who. I don't think I can even recognize the most basic faces of celebrities :/ (I know, I'm weird). Like, I do listen to music, I sometimes watch movies but idc who sung/acted etc (on the other hand, I love Reality TV (but haven't gotten to watching much of it recently cos of school), but I don't really care much about the personal lives of reality TV participants)
- Partying/Clubbing/Alcohol (w/e): I guess this is why I haven't made much friends at uni yet :P
- My Appearance
- Social Media (FB/IG/Snap etc): I'm just lazy. I can't be bothered getting 1k likes on Instagram or whatever people do nowadays
However, I do wish I cared about most of these things though. Like sometimes having a good online/social media presence, having a good appearance, can impact, say, your future job/career prospects and such.

Where do I start oh boy oh boy...
- Melbourne cup (don't get me started................animal rights.)
- Reality TV (My IQ drops a little every time.....)
- Celebrities (Selfish, entitled, no perspective on life )
- Birthdays (Just another day of the week I suppose )
- Popular music (Most of it the same old you know... duff duff... beat... electronic vocals)
- Snapchat (why the heck do I need to post what I am doing all the time????)
-
I never get why people are into stuff like socials in high school (maybe because I haven't been to one yet). But at my school, students have to pay $20 to attend the social and it's basically from what I've heard, just dancing and chatting with other people. To me that just seems like a waste of money, which could be better spent on a nice meal.
-
Cars.
Also, good call on birthdays, EEEEEEP. I never really enjoy mine.

This <3
I see no importance in them tbh.
Except that EEEEEEP and another person attempted to hype my one up (::

It's funny, isn't it? I sort of assume that birthdays are a big deal for other people, but I think a lot of people actually share those feelings.

this is the first group of people I've seen that feel the same way :')
tbh I find birthday celebrations unnecessary especially if you're not a kid idk

junior is pretty meh but senior was pretty good last year. Come on, you gotta try it at least once, it's a good time. Meet new people, make new friends and keep your brain away from study for one day.
-
Man, yeah, birthdays. My last two birthdays have been awful and something about everyone expecting you to have this marvellous amazing day makes it worse.
I don't really think people care about getting older once they're about sixteen.

Haha legit. "You're 16 now? Cool. Never talk to me again" hahahaha

Don't bully me for random number selection :'(
Or for writing things that sound truly idiotic ::)

Yeah, I think it's being the centre of attention that I dislike most; it renders social interaction more likely. :-\
(Just kidding.)
(Not really.)

Cars.
When you can drive yourself places though, and not have to rely on public transport or other people, that's pretty awesome 8)
However if you're discussing in a context of the technical things about cars, favourite models, and all that, then I agree :P

Yeah, like, don't get me wrong - I'd like to be able to get around without depending on other people/services one day. But I really don't care about model and the like.
So long as it gets me from A to B, that'll do. I'll spend my money on coffee instead. ;)

Speaking of coffee I should add that to my list lol
It doesn't even give me a buzz and I don't get why people spend like $5 or whatever for one cup what's the point #unpopularopinion

Nah, I can totally understand that opinion. It doesn't make much sense if you actually think about it lol.

HAHAHHAHA my friend lost a 400+ streak because she was studying. I would stab myself if I lost my 500+ one though honestly

Instant coffee ftw!! I'd buy myself a $10 huge jar of coffee beans from Coles which is like 1kg+ of coffee for 50 cups of coffee.
Places like Starbucks frappachino ventis are overrated, expensive, and have more sugar than coffee imo.
Ugh yes, obviously I don't drink coffee often but I know good coffee isn't that :/ but I never add sugar anyways so frappachinos are especially traumatising for me hahaha

Coffee with sugar doesn't count as coffee. 8)
