my sister sat for year 11 entry nossal last year, so i can tell you a little about her experience.
it's not so much about your academic level but where you sit in terms of the ranking on the exam. after the exam they'll give you a ranking of where you are e.g. top 5 or top 10 (my sister was top 5, she had 4 superiors and 2 above averages). so whether or not you get in depends on the number of places available and how well you do compared to others.did you sit the year 9 entry exam?

I'm not exactly sure about the year 10 application, but I have heard there is an interview as well as the test. Hearing that you have many leadership rolls can potientially give you a boost in recieving a spot. With the writing, try wriritng asking family or friends diffrent topics or reserach some over the internet for analytical writing. For creative writing, search up oddly diffrent pictures and compose a narrative out of it. Make sure you complete it in the 15 minutes time frame :).
Good Luck!
