Context: 22 year old who's played every Pokemon game ever released to America/UK/Aus... didn't get Sun or Moon when it was actually released, and my mind keeps wandering - is this the end? Is the journey over?
I've heard that Sun/Moon is actually pretty cool/unique. Thoughts? Do you play the game? What's it like, should I buy?

Was considering getting a 3DS just for that. Then I came across some MMO variants that people have created online and managed to leave that idea. Would be good to check it out though.. but I can't justify the price tag for 1 game :(

It's never just 1 game where pokemon is concerned ;)
Only have my 3DS for the first pokemon game that was released on it. Can't even remember which one it was, I'm just playing them for the sake of it by this point hahaha

It's really quite unique to the others. It follows the same archetype of Gyms to beat, bad guys on a team vs you but it does so in a unique manner. Instead of Gym's you have "islands" to beat along with their leaders. I can't remember quite too much but I recall it being a rather fun game to play. Pokemon moves look pretty nifty too. Hell, it's a one time purchase. Just do it :D If you regret it I will send you a slice of cake.

Why do you need a new Pokemon?
