Title: Is it in any way possible to do Unit 3 4 Specialists if you skipped Unit 2?
Post by: Alein on July 28, 2017, 08:33:56 am
I dropped unit 2 Specialist and I was wondering if I could still do Unit 3 and 4 and take the VCE exam. Is it possible in any way at all? Thanks

Yeah it's definitely possible. I picked up Specialist 3+4 without having done units 1+2. Check with your Maths/VCE coordinator though to see if they'll allow you to pick it back up again, because some schools can be a bit fishy about that.

Also, the VCE exams at the end of year 12 only (explicitly) test content on Units 3+4 content, that's why they're Unit 3+4 exams.

Well you certainly can, :) but it's best if you also try to catch up with unit 2 and understand everything before you move on to 3/4, you can do this in the holidays. Specialist is certainly one of the most rewarding subjects imo you'll be good if you try to understand the content instead of blindly using formulas. Good luck :)
