I checked that but it had none from 2016 that were in the range that I wanted but I guess 2014 is recent enough thanks

I don't really see any major problem unless it's before 2012 (because then they had no multiple choice).
There's always some fluctuation every year and if you want to fully quantify that fluctuation you'd need a lot of data, which is pretty hard to collect given that you actually need to buy your raw marks report. But that fluctuation cannot ever be significantly impacting.

Why did you use the word "moderate"? It's the adjustment to match cohort's internal marks *collectively* to their exam marks (eg. if school/teacher gave them marks with an average of 80 but in the exam they can only average 70, it means their school marks were too generous need to be adjusted down). Since it depends on your school/teacher + your cohort no-one here can say what will moderate to 95.
So what is it you wanted to ask, and is 95 the mark to be shown on your HSC certificate or after scaling by UAC for ATAR?

By the discussion above I'm pretty sure they just meant the alignment process of raw exam scores to Band cut-offs, and the RMD Rui linked should have them sorted there ;D
