Title: Physics in Focus v Jacaranda
Post by: bundahboy on September 27, 2017, 07:07:12 pm
Hi all,

I have a bit of a dilemma regarding which phys textbook to use for revision. My school assigns Jacaranda but I switched to Physics in Focus midway through the year because it structures the content a little better in terms of the syllabus dotpoints. However, a lot of people have been saying (and I have noticed this as well) that Jacaranda does go into a bit more 'depth' with some of the concepts.

Do people find that the 'depth' of Jacaranda's content is necessarily relevant to the HSC syllabus/exam? Or do you reckon Physics in Focus has enough content to be safe to use on its own?

Jacaranda's "in-depth" = out of syllabus content including like pedigree and apogee for ellipses so I'd recommend physics in focus or other people's notes
