Hey guys so I've heard that about only 60 people managed to get a band 6 for English Standard last year. Considering I smash paper 2, do considerably well in paper 1 (not the best at answering short answers under pressure!) and get a raw unweighted mark of, say, 90/105, what are my chances of getting a band 6? :/
My school rank is about 350 and I'm ranked 1 out of 182 (raw trial mark was 96/105). Thanks!

Hey sounds like you are doing really well! I would also love a Band 6, hate Paper 1 but love Paper 2! In order to distinguish yourself, make sure you do really well at Paper 1 Section 1, because they use that to compare you with the rest of the state apparently.

Just to correct you, 269 students in Standard english recieved a band 6. That being said, if you keep this standard for the HSC exam, the chances are there! Very likely to band 6 :)
