i have made some notes so far, but im stuck at around 8 pages, anything i should cover?
-
Have you looked at the study design?
Do your notes cover all those subheadings?
-
Excal and I had a look though last year exam, and the one thing that we noted was how badly the state did in the excel formulas questions. That's an area that you would be looking at with a fine tooth comb.

yer thanks man that helps alot

i just suggest pretty much which has already been suggested.. do every single i.t. prac exam u can, and fidentify ur weaknesses. note that where u are doing well shouldnt be neglected, but use ur time well, and cover the study design, don't try to remember each dot point of and area. Exam the 11 NPP.. i won't need to know them all, and most of them are common sense anyways.. get basic knowledge of the information then learn how the examiners actually want you to answer.. "assessment reports".. Might be helpful reading up on the multiple choice, and the little tricks they put in to try and confuse you. every mark counts in the end i guess.
Goodluck :)

I remember heaps of the practice exams were so dodgy last year >_> Really puts you off
-
mm what do u mean by dodgy.. the answers they want. or just the type of questions.. ive done bout 3.. which havnt been too bad. but who knows.

Questions having no relevance to anything whatsoever. Clearly randomly thought up because the writer ran out of ideas. Can't remember any examples though >_>

You will find these qs that SmRandAzn mentioned in VITTA exams
-
ok thanks for the heads up :).. well i always heaviyl rely on wat the vcaa put in there exams, but then again they only have one per year lol.
-
The questions are not difficult, but they are so open-ended and you don't what the questions are expecting of you to write
-
so are they more common sense then, more than finding it in the book ?

Definitely.
-
ah well gues the 30-40% of the exam is actually pure knowledge from the book, and the rest is more based on common sense, with a common ground of i.t./ project management yeah?
this is the reason i believe prac exams are the best way to study, as u can kinda get familar with what questions are going to be asked.
-
^Even with practice exams though (I did like 20) on the day your common sense might fail you.
Bad memories.
-
Im just refining my halo skills. Especially team slayer.
-
LOL need to know all the coding of halo in ita :S jk jk.. well i guess some part of the exams are just luck of the draw.
how did u go, if u dont mind me asking?

Me? I got 45.
No statement of marks though, but judging from how many marks Ell lost, I'm guessing I lost quite a significant number of marks >_<
-
so not satisfied with that score? fair decent effort still.. like wat. top 2% or so? at start of the year i was aiming for a 40.. but when heard out some of what my mates and VN members got, my expectations just jumped lol. wer do u reckon u lost them in?

lol I would be satisfied with a 45 scaled, but yeah.
I can't remember anything from IT Apps >_> It doesn't retain very well. I'm not really sure where I lost them in.
-
ah ok thats cool. why dont they give us the scaled score when we did the subject. dont we get scaled with the same year which we did the subject in :S..

You do get scaled based on the year you did the subject but you don't find out what the scaled score is (until nxt year). All you can do is look for someone who got the same score as you and see what they scaled to. ( I hate I.T, not sure if mines gonna go down by 3 or 4 >_> )

oh ok thanks :) wasnt to sure about it.. ah wat u aiming for?
