What are some words that when you hear, a shiver goes down your spine? (i.e you cringe from hearing them). I have a couple:
- angst
- shook
Not really sure why; just despise these words!
Post yours below!

"Social Justice Warrior" is one for me, too.
Like, what else would you be fighting for?

This isn't lexical but it's more related to the Australian accent.
I used to cringe when Australians say "no", might be a personal thing.
It sounds like "noeuhr", like why would you use so much energy to twirl your tongue in a certain way (crappy description haha I don't do EngLang) to pronounce a two letter word when you can say it like the 'mericans or everyone else in the planet?
Australians are weird, but I love them anyways ;) ;)

This thread is so angsty it shook me (sorry not sorry). On another note one of my teachers banned swearing, dabbing and saying moist on an outdoor ed camp. The penalty was pushups/starjumps/burpees...Naturally there were plenty of dabbing selfies on the group camera at the end of that camp.

Quintessential. I'm not sure why. Maybe because it has a forced, thesaurus-like feel to it.
