For an information system to produce output in a timely manner it should
A. include a date/time stamp with the output.
B. perform its function quickly.
C. ensure output is received when it is required.
D. ensure output is easy to understand
Any idea which one the answer is?
-
I'd pick C if I had to pick one.
What question is this from? Interestingly worded Q.
-
I and all of my class chose C but for some reason it is B.
Do VCAA exam normally have 1 or 2 iffy questions? Not just in SD but other subjects.

From QATs 2017 exam.

Yeah, some are really badly worded. For example, I would argue that B and C are quite similar to each other. Purely for the fact that in order for output to be received when it is required, the function has to be performed 'quickly' in order for this to happen.
I refer you to a note by Mark Kelly (vceit.com):
Note – unlike the previous study designs, in this study design, “timeliness” now means both/either:
data is available when needed and/or
data is produced quickly so it’s available when required

(sidenote: I still think C is a better answer than B...)

Thanks. Yeah, C seems to be the best option and hopefully, next study design timelinesses is more explicit.

Timely? It means fast not how good it is. I got B.
