Hi guys,
In the exam i decided to answer the passion and reason prompt on Medea. If i mentioned how characters show a lack of moderation and display excessive amounts of passion or reason, would that be answering the prompt?

I did the same thing. The prompt was talking about this conflict between reason and emotion, which I interpreted was like an ongoing battle within a person. So I analysed basically what happened when reason triumphed over passion or if passion triumphed over reason within an individual. Personally, I thought it answered the prompt, but if it doesn’t then at least you’re not alone. :)

I think as long as you didn't solely talk about individuals being driven by passion/reason and then individuals are able to obtain a moderation between the both ALONE, then you should be fine.
I don't think you have to explicitly say what you meant conflict meant but rather suggest that adversity, danger, etc is catalysed through whatever your BP was discussing.
I got hung on this after the exam. This might just be me saying this because I don't want to admit that I am wrong, but my teachers reckon it should be alright.
(Although defining what a crucial conflict with be ideal since you're engaging with the prompt more).
