After the shenanigans of last year ... https://www.digitaltrends.com/web/boaty-mcboatface/
Legend goes that Former BBC Radio presenter James Hand jokingly suggested Boaty McBoatface. The NERC stated that they would have the final say, and that the most popular would not necessarily be the one chosen.
A public vote was used to name a scientific vessel... and "boaty mc boatface" won. Fortunately enough the ship was renamed to RRS Sir David Attenborough.
...
That brings us to today...
Sydney is getting a new ferry and it is going to be called ... BA DUM... Ferry McFerryface

...
This is of high importance (CAPS), should the popular ferry name stay or go?
It is quite a ridiculous name.. imo :P
Here are some livid Sydneysider's comments :P

Everything in the world will be slowly renamed to fit this style.
I approve.

does this apply for this one specifically ( I didn't read everything )

I can understand why some people are disappointed with the name, although I don't particularly mind myself. The fact that the labor party in NSW has managed to make it a legitimate election issue is mildly depressing, added to the fact that there are ferry drivers who will refuse to drive the boat because of its name. I mean, of all the things to get worked up about...

I think it's cool. It's light hearted, it made me giggle - I can't complain with that.
