Has anyone been offered the Monash scholarship for excellence? What ATAR do you usually need to be offered one?

Has anyone been offered the Monash scholarship for excellence? What ATAR do you usually need to be offered one?
I got offered both the excellence scholarship from Monash ($6000) and the access scholarship from Melbourne ($5000) yesterday. Got an ATAR if 97, however, they look at your disadvantages first. What categories did you apply for SEAs and did you get the Monash guarantee last week?

I didn’t apply for SEAS or any of those things but I’m fairly sure you have to get 98+ to be eligible to receive the Monash scholarship for excellence and it is just given to the top 40 students based on ATAR. Maybe you’re talking about the vice chancellors scholarship for excellence?

According to this website, no scholarship offers have been made yet. But, if the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Excellence have been offered already, then there goes my hopes of getting a scholarship.

I’m really confused at the moment. My brother got a call from Monash 30 mins after his ATAR offering a scholarship but according to this they seem to have changed and now send out letters really slowly??? I actually called Monash today and it seems people have already received scholarship offers so I suspect that this website is inaccurate. Although they also said that scholarship offers will be made all the way up to January 16th.

I didn’t apply for SEAS or any of those things but I’m fairly sure you have to get 98+ to be eligible to receive the Monash scholarship for excellence and it is just given to the top 40 students based on ATAR. Maybe you’re talking about the vice chancellors scholarship for excellence?
oh yeah lel that ones different however still the same amount of money. I got Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Excellence so like if anyone hasn't got theirs they should probably call Monash just because the email might not have sent through properly.

I think in past years the cut-off has been around 99.7

I’m just wondering but what categories did you apply to for your SEAS application? I received the monash guarantee email, but I only applied for the financial disadvantage category. I was hoping for a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, but I haven’t received the email at all. So, I’m guessing that I’m not eligible for it.

I got the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for Achievement or something last year and only got a letter in early January (could have been really late in December, but fairly certain it was January), so I wouldn't worry too much. :) I think it takes them a while to send out all the scholarships to people, so you'll probably just have to be patient for a bit haha.

I haven't received an offer either, which is concerning. A few of my friends who also did well got calls from other universities for scholarships immediately on the day of results, so it's a bit worrying. However, they did send me e-mails offering both Biomedical and Engineering scholarships, but I don't really want to do either of those degrees.

I had financial disadvantage, however, I had two separate things in financial disadvantage. I also had medical disadvantage, so I suspect that might have been what helped me out to get it.

Just got an email about the biomedicine discovery scholarship and got really excited but realised I couldn’t accept since you need a 40 in chemistry to get into the scholars program :( Screw you monash

Hey Guys,
I received a text offering me a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship like a couple of hours after ATARs came out, and received the formal email a couple hours after that - so I wouldn't trust the website. Also, if I officially accept the scholarship can I switch later, for example, if I get something else?
Do you guys think a 99.7 would be enough to be offered Monash Scholarship for Excellence - for example if people chosen ahead of me reject the offer and it then goes to me, and does anyone know if any of these have been offered yet?

It seems they are waiting to release the Monash scholarship for excellence unless they were all taken by 99.85s

They sent me an email yesterday afternoon and then they called me today to confirm that I had received my email/congratulations.

I just got an email for Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Excellence today, with $2000 for the first year and $500 every year after (got a 94), where as my friend got $6000 every year, and received a 96. We both qualify for financial disadvantage.

If they sent you an email about engineering scholarships, then I'm pretty sure you got the excellence scholarship, I got it too. But I think quantum is asking for the general excellence scholarship-what I got was just for the engineering faculty.
I asked Monash today, they said they are still processing the scholarships, so some people have been offered it and some haven't yet.

I think the scholarship availability status is on this website. From the looks of things, they are still sorting it out
