Ok so, I'm still so torn between Planning at Western Sydney and Arts at USyd so just wanted to confirm, if I end up make the wrong choice, there's always a way to correct it right? As far as I'm aware it just adds to your time and HECS debt?
Right now I'm leaning toward Arts but still unsure.

Yes, if you make the wrong decision you can transfer out of your degree and into another one. Assuming your units are credited, you may not have to add extra time to your degree. You have to pay for the units you take, so yes, those will be added to your HECS debt, unless, of course, you discontinue any units before your university’s census date. :)
