Class of 2017 we are a week away from receiving first-round offers! Does anyone know approximately what time they come out? I hope in the morning because I am working in the afternoon!

Yep, they came in the morning last year :)
Just checked my offer email from last year - it came at 6:18AM!

Awesome! Thanks guys and good luck cookiedream!

Mine came in at 4:21PM last year, so don't get too freaked out if it doesn't come in the morning!

Didn't know they came in that late! Was this the actual VTAC offer, or the offer letter from the university itself?

Like VanillaRice looked into it, checked my email and mine came out at 6:05am last year. That's probably because I was well above the clearly-in for my first preference, so it was already set in stone well before the email came out. So like you've said it should come out in the morning of next Tuesday. Good luck :)

Yeah that's about when my offer letter came out - not the email from VTAC itself saying that I'd been offered a place at Monash.
-
~9.00am although I woke up later ::)
-
I got my email from VTAC at 8:27am last year - they're a bit scattered. My email from the uni came in the afternoon - around 4:30pm.

As K888 said, the emails extremely scattered - I got the VTAC email at around 9am, and the email from uni around 4:10pm :)

Completely forgot there was one from VTAC and one from the university! The university one was the one that was 4:21PM, the VTAC letter was 6:12AM.
To those getting offers: the VTAC one simply tells you you've been offered a place in a course, the one from the university details any enrolment instructions.

Okay so does the VTAC one say which specific course or just you got offered a place in a course? I don't know why I am getting worried about the process haha I am well above the clearly in for my course! I just feel like everyone talks about the day and process of getting your ATAR and no one really talks about getting offers.

The VTAC one should give you the name of the course and institution that offered you a place. :)
Also if I remember correctly, the VTAC email allows you to accept/defer/reject the offer. :) (I remember enrolling early that day :) )

vtac email should specify course iirc (insanipi confirms above^^ :) )
don't think many people fuss that day unless they have a borderline ATAR for the course or there is an interview component (med/physiotheraphy,architecture etc) :)

It's a bit weird, hey? I was overseas at the time, and had my offer texted to me on a phone built in the ~1600s. Strange day.
Best of luck to everybody hoping for an offer. :)

With allowing you to accept/defer/reject the offer, that's mainly only because Monash has a system that only requires you to use your VTAC id and pin to enrol, so you don't have to wait for any offer letter from them to enrol. Other Melbourne uni's such as Swinburne/Deakin/Melb Uni/Latrobe all require you to have your offer letter as you need a particular code that can only be found in your offer letter from the institution themselves - and is not contained in your VTAC email. As you can see here https://www.monash.edu/get-started all you need is that VTAC code for Monash, but for Melbourne Uni for example you need a student ID number as found in your offer letter as per here http://students.unimelb.edu.au/get-started/undergraduate-domestic/setup.

Ahhh thank-you that is good to know!

No worries - that way you're not stressed in the morning when you can't enrol for UoM
-
Wait, I thought it was 2pm that the offers are released?
Or is that that we get confirmation email in the morning, but can only accept once it is 2pm?
So confusing haha

2pm is when you will be able to log in to VTAC to view your offer on the VTAC website. You don't need to do this to accept your offer. You will be able to see your offer before this via the email sent by VTAC mentioned above (usually sent out in the morning). How you can accept your offer will depend on the university (as described by Springboy above), and will be detailed in the offer letter (separate to the VTAC one) sent to you by the university themselves :)

Sorry for bumping this thread but has anyone received an offer yet?
