Title: relationship between CNS and PNS?

heyloo,,

does anybody know what the relationship between the central and peripheral nervous system is with reference to key functions of each division

The CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord, sensory information from receptor sites are sent towards the CNS to the brain via the spinal cord to be interpreted and therefore decide upon a response. The CNS (brain) then relays this message back to the PNS via the spinal cord which makes your muscles move in response to what your brain has interpreted. Ultimately, the PNS connects the CNS to the rest of the body whilst the CNS is mainly responsible in receiving sensory information and sending out motor information.
