Hi all
What do you all think about going on a one month exchange to a foreign country during around December-ish? The country's native language is one I'm going to do in year 12 (year 11 this year), albeit all my subjects are pretty cut-throat and I'm wondering whether it'll be too hard to catch up and finish the orientation work by the time I get back. I'm not particularly failing any subjects at the moment but I'm not exactly excelling in any too.
For perspective, if anyone can comment on the workload or have any input, here are the (planned) year 12 subjects
English
Specialist Maths
Chemistry
Physics
Japanese SL
Thanks

plently of people do well in year 12 without doing anything during the summer holidays so you should be fine and it would even help you with your SL subject.
If you are really keen you could always take your books and study and complete homework when you have some free time.

If you go, there is a 0% chance you will regret it when you’re 30.
If you don’t, that chance is much higher than 0%.

I missed orientation and did nothing over the holidays for my subjects (only 4 but still pretty cuthroat), I caught up in the last couple of weeks back and I've been sailing along fine. The exchange will be an amazing experience and will help your language studies which is always a bonus so I reckon you go. :)

Sounds like a wicked opportunity to me!
I travelled for like five weeks after Year 11 and was fine going into Year 12. Obviously not exactly the same situation, but I reckon you'll be able to catch up - if you even miss anything.
Welcome to ATAR Notes, by the way. :)
