I have a TI89 TItatium cas calculator, but apparently its not allowed in yr 12 phys and chem exams.
I have an old scientiffic calculator.. but i find this one hard to use, plus you can't get exact value answers (is this needed/normal?)
How much does a good one cost(can u recommend one), I'm thinking of using it in the future (uni) where you cant have cas calcs in exams...
thanks
edit: oops can a mod change the title to 'calc' instead of cals.. i cant seem to do it.

Yeah, you can't use CAS/graphics for physics/chem.
You don't really need exact values but it needs to display a nice number of sig figs. You can follow everyone else and get a TI scientific calculator or you can get a $19 Casio at Safeway that does the same crap.

If possible, try and get the Casio fx-82 AU Plus, its about 21 dollars, and probably one of the best calculators when it comes to displaying answers and other random stuff.

Yep. That's the one I have. I got it for $19 at Safeway :)
It does the same thing as the lime green TI calculator. However, that one can display multiple lines (previous answers etc).

out of curiosity, does the ti one display previous lines as well?

I recommend the green TI one. Typing huge gravity formulas into that thing is so awesome.

my parents bought one for me and calc s the green TI-30XB one :http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/ASIAPACIFIC/productDetail/ap_ti30xb_mv.html
ive found it to be pretty reliable... just wondering.. how long do the batteries usually last? and what is the max no. of lines it can store?
