My IPT teacher mentioned that NESA is considering to combine the Information Processes and Technology (IPT) and Software Design and Development (SDD) syllabuses in the next few years because they were both 'outdated'. Further, NESA was alerted to the numerous requests of students who would prefer a Digital Technologies course which was an extension to the Stage 5 Information and Software Technology syllabus.
I don't know whether NESA's proposal to combine 4 (difficult) units into a single 2 unit course is a good or bad idea. Wouldn't that cause more workload on future students?
