Hi guys. I'm wondering if anyone knows the possibilities of getting into the Law pathway with an ATAR of less than 90? The SEAS calculator puts my ATAR to quite a bit above, but I don't think that's particularly relevant in this case. Any advice appreciated :)

It doesn’t hurt if you leave Monash BLaw as first preference, however slim your chances may be.
Did you qualify for Monash Guarantee? (Although, this you’d usually need to get an unadjusted ATAR above 94, if my interpretation is correct.) You also may have subject bonuses you’re unaware of that’ll add to your aggregate, as well as SEAS. If any of the following apply to you, then you might shift yourself up closer to the 98 adjusted ATAR range.
Selection rank adjustments
Subject Adjustments
A study score of 45 in any English equals 2 aggregate points per study. A study score of 40 in any English equals 1 aggregate point per study. A study score of 40 in Classical Studies, Economics, Geography, any History, Legal Studies, Philosophy, Australian Politics, Global Politics or Psychology equals 1 aggregate point per study. Overall maximum of 5 points.
In this case, I’d be more inclined to say make the BLaw first and put another pathway that you’d be alright/ also satisfied with and can comfortably get in second as a back up (then transfer later on). You could also try the BArts, BSci or BComm (all Law Pathway) to make it easier to do a transfer later on and do some research about these courses.
EDIT: Pathways and course transfers to Monash Law.
New pathways to Monash Law - Note: Ah, didn't realise there was also the prereq of a minimum of an ATAR of 90. Not to fear though, you can still try a Monash BArts with 1 - 2 law units as electives (if they'll let you) and try to transfer with good grades between semesters (usually this is a 70+ WAM).
If all else fails, you can try going into the postgrad courses and do the Juris Doctor (JD) instead.

Hey there!
According to Monash, last year, the lowest ATAR to receive an offer to any law course was 92.55 (which includes SEAS and subject bonuses). Therefore, it is unlikely that you'll receive an offer. HOWEVER, I'd still highly recommend keeping Monash Law as your first preference - because you never know what will happen this year!

I'll also mention that you can complete one year of Arts, Commerce, Science, Biomed, etc. at Monash, and then apply for a transfer into Law or a Law double degree after one year. This is actually quite common, so definitely keep this option in mind!
