Title: GOT NO OFFER FOR THE FIRST ROUND!

Hey guys, so in short I got no offers in the first round of uni offers. I’m so stuck and annoyed because all my friends got offers!

I believe the reason behind it was since my atar wasn’t really close with my peferences that I had chosen.

My question is, I was applying for the deadline for the 2nd offer round (I changed a few of my preferences) however I realised 2 of them didn’t say Eligible- subject of being competitive or of some sort. It basically had nothing on it.

DOES THAT MEAN I WASNT ELIGIBLE?? OR THAT I DIDNT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS??

Hello!! In short, don’t sweat it. All uni offers are subject to being competitive because there are lots of people who have applied for that same course. :-)

Just to add, the "subject to being competitive" message under each preference doesn't really have a lot of meaning.

Some universities have different messages that they put under each preference, e.g. "visit our website" or accommodation options etc. The different format for each uni could be why the eligibility phrasing doesn't appear on two of your preferences. You can still definitely get offers without it being there! (For reference, I'm pretty sure some of my own preferences didn't have that specific "eligible" phrasing, and have still received offers for these.)

NSW has had one offer round already but Victoria hasn't

Well I mean the 11th of Jan is the main offer round for UAC but do you think the main-round offers are now available online? Or later in the day?

EDIT: I just saw this on their website concerning today's main round of offers:

I think they're supposed to come out later, but I got an email at 3am when I got my offer so it's possible they're out now

Yeap all good - I got an offer email at 2:57am (yikes that's early)
